"weltwärts" volunteers in the Philippines .
In 2007 the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development started its new volunteer programme "weltwärts". DED is one of the volunteer sending organizations.
weltwärts volunteers arrive in the Philippines
The weltwärts-program of the DED Philippines enters its second year. While in the years 2008/09 20 volunteers followed the slogan "learning through active involvement", this year already 44 young adults will support various partner organizations in the Philippines. The young people between 18 and 25 years have the opportunity to spend one year working at Philippine partner organizations in the areas of environment, agriculture, educational, social and community services.
